Cowboys Stadium Tour!

(Tuesday, April 27, 2010) – Arlington, Texas is the home of one of the most extravagant and expensive stadiums in the world!  Built and mostly financed by billionaire Jerry Jones, who owns the Dallas Cowboys, this stadium cost over $1 billion to construct!

Cowboys Stadium – looks like a spaceship!
854 concession stands, and over 3,000 TV’s!

Nice view from a luxury box!

The stadium video scoreboard is so large, it’s length goes from the 20 yard line to the 20 yard line above the field!  The construction cost of the old Cowboys Stadium, built in the 70’s, was about $40 million dollars.  The cost of the huge video board of the new Cowboys Stadium was $40 million dollars by itself!

Impressive video board!

The tour included checking out the concourse area, and the locker rooms of the Cowboys and the Cowboys Cheerleaders!

The entire tour was awesome, took a couple of hours, and was able to see many areas of this fabulous, opulent facility!  Was very fun to throw the football around on the field.  Was a bit surprising that the seams in the field were noticeable, although they were “seeding” the field with the small rubber particles at the time, so maybe that would take care of the seams?  What an awesome facility, if you’re going to a Cowboys game here – better bring lots of cash!
